Visit North Alabama, also known as the Alabama Mountain Lakes Tourist Association, serves sixteen counties by helping local communities develop thriving tourism and by promoting travel to all North Alabama member communities. 11 interesting and exciting trails are available via a mobile pass from Visit North Alabama. North Alabama Mural Trail

Regional heritage, artistic imagination and nostalgia are depicted in the more than 140 murals of the North Alabama Mural Trail, five of which are located in Blount County. North Alabama Motorcycle Covered Bridges Trail

Calling all thrill seekers! The North Alabama Motorcycle Trail has the best scenic rides that wind and twist through the region. Three covered bridges still exist in Blount County, the Covered Bridge Capital of Alabama and home of the popular Covered Bridge Festival. Enjoy a scenic drive through farmlands and rolling hills on tree-lined roads with lots of curves.

Blount County Memorial Museum Display

North Alabama Patriot Trail

This Trail features various memorials, museums, and parks across North Alabama honoring veterans of the United States military. Many of the memorials list the names of local residents who died while serving in the armed forces, starting from the Revolutionary War up to present-day conflicts. The museums and parks contain military artifacts, vehicles, and equipment showcasing the history of various wars and conflicts. 

The Blount County Memorial Museum is a featured stop on this trail. At the museum, visitors can explore exhibits that preserve local military history through photographs, artifacts, uniforms, and personal items that honor the service and sacrifice of Blount County veterans across generations.

North Alabama Hallelujah Trail

The North Alabama Hallelujah Trail features 32 churches that are at least 100 years old, stand on their original sites, still hold services, and are accessible to the public.
