Camping in Blount County

A Stay Steeped in Nature

Blount County camping puts you close to some of North Alabama’s most memorable outdoor experiences. From underground wonders to peaceful riverbanks, these campgrounds make it easy to slow down, unplug, and explore what makes this place special.

Rickwood Caverns State Park

Camping at Rickwood Caverns State Park puts you in the middle of one of Alabama’s most fascinating natural attractions. The park’s cool, underground caverns feature illuminated limestone formations estimated to be 260 million years old. Sign up for a guided cave tour for an experience that will make you feel like you stepped into another world. Above ground, the campground offers improved RV and tent sites with water and electric hookups, along with primitive options for a more back-to-nature experience. Landscaped sites accommodate trailers and motorhomes, while restrooms, a dump station, and nearby picnic areas add comfort. Camp here and spend your days hiking, exploring the caverns, or relaxing beneath the trees.
